FITNESS COACHING DETAILS

My Approach:

The key to effective remote fitness coaching is accurately judging the client’s adherence and execution of the fitness program. Regardless of the quality and complexity of the program, its phases, and its progressions, execution and performance is what translates the planned actions into predictable results. Through features in the TrueCoach app and monthly coaching calls, I keep a pulse on your performance, guide you to better execution, hold you accountable, and adjust your program to meet you where you are each step of the way to get you to your goals.

Process:

Every potential client get a free 1hr coaching consultation where we’ll get to know each other, discuss your primary goals, your schedule, your circumstances, your activities, and decide if/what service I provide works for you. Should that be remote fitness coaching, information I gather on that call will be used to write the first phase of your fitness program.

Your fitness program will be shared on the TrueCoach Training App. After I complete your program (within a few days from signup), you’ll receive an email invitation to make a free client membership on the site and download the app on your phone. I’ll have shared phase 1 of your program to cover the first month of your coaching, which you could view from the client dashboard on your computer or on the phone app. I’ll also send you a TrueCoach onboarding document to help you get started. Other than our monthly coaching calls, all of our communication will occur on the app.

How we use the TrueCoach App:

  1. Viewing your Program in the app during workouts

    • See workouts in order (by day), exercises in each workout, and their respective programming variables (sets, reps, resistance, rest, etc.).

  2. Watching Exercise Tutorial Videos

    • Exercises on the app have links an exercise tutorial for their proper form/execution

  3. Marking workouts and specific exercises as complete through the mobile app

    • This is our accountability system so we can determine if any slowdown in results is from programming or from program execution

    • Each workout day and each individual exercise can/should be marked as “complete” on the day they are assigned

      • For exercises, label them “complete” only if all sets were completed successfully at or above the given reps/weight

  4. Adding results to exercises

    • Take note if you did not complete an exercise, adjusted the set/rep/weight/rest scheme, felt pain, had form issues, etc.

  5. Adding comments to workouts to explain other circumstances

    • Use comments instead of results to explain circumstances which may have affected the entirety of the workout

    • Ex: you skipped the workout because you were sick, you had poor sleep and thus poor performance, you had to rearrange your workout days, etc.

  6. Recording/uploading exercise videos

    • Under “results” for each exercise you have the option to upload a video of you doing the exercise

    • I may request videos of important exercises or ones you have issues with so I can review them weekly

  7. Weekly Messaging and Feedback

    • I review the completion, results, comments, and any videos from the workout week

    • Each week I send messages through the app giving feedback on these inputs as well as explaining any changes made to the following week (if necessary)

The process is essentially me handing you a program, you providing the above inputs each week, me reviewing said inputs, and then messaging you with feedback at the end of each week to keep your execution and adherence to the program on track. Weekly adjustments might be made if necessary in response to the inputs, such as making the program more/less demanding or changing exercise choice. Each month we have 4 cycles of this, at the end of which we get on a monthly coaching call to review the month and plan the following phase and progressions.

Billing:

All remote coaching clients will be put on a recurring monthly billing schedule. Your subscription can be managed from the Acuity Scheduling App, which you will also be using to schedule your monthly coaching calls. It can be canceled/frozen at any time. New phases of your program are shared within 24hrs of your billing cycle date after you are charged. Each billing cycle your inventory of 1hr coaching calls replenishes to 1.

Cancellation, Refund, and Rescheduling Policies:

You can cancel your subscription at any point up until 24hrs before your next billing date. I’d appreciate if this was made clear on the coaching call prior to your cancellation so I can do work on a wrap-up email instead of a phase you won’t receive. You can manage your subscription (cancel/freeze) from the Acuity Scheduling App.

There are no refunds for your monthly fee after it has been charged. Your access to TrueCoach and your program will remain until the final day of the billing cycle you last paid for and you will receive all messages/calls for that month.

The monthly 1hr coaching call is scheduled/confirmed at the end of the previous coaching call. This can be rescheduled on the Acuity Scheduling App up until 24hrs beforehand. After that, if you have to cancel, you will lose the call for that month. Instead, I take extra time to write a detailed monthly email to cover your previous and next phases.
